Points Test

There are big changes to the points test

1. Applicants for skilled sponsored visa require 100 points and independent skilled visas require 120 points



2. Applicants will receive 15 points for a "6" in each area of the IELTS exam



3. Applicants will receive 25 points for a "7"in each area of the IELTS exam



4. Applicants will receive 10 points for 1 year work experience in Australia. The job must be closely related to their nominated occupation



5. Applicants will receive 10 points for a designated professional year



6. Applicants who completed a PHD in Australia with a minimum of 2 years studyíng in Australia receive 25 points



7. Applicants who have completed a Bachelor and Masters or Honours year with a minimum of studying in Australia for 3 years will receive 15 points



8. The $100,000.00 investment has been dropped



9. Applicants will receive 25 points for a sponsor in a designated area
